Our MBA program offers business and non-business graduates, such as engineers, natural sciences and humanities graduates, the opportunity to extend their managerial skills.

Our program focuses on updating and increasing your general managerial knowledge. Parallel to your studies you will strengthen your professional profile through leadership courses, such as Strategic Management or Corporate Finance. If you decide on the 90 ECTS program, you can choose between a number of attractive specializations.

Your studies in the program are highly practice-oriented and give you the business knowledge that you will need as a future manager.

Course Detail

Our dynamic online MBA  allows you to apply everything you learn to real-world business scenarios. Expanding further than a classroom-based education, your assignments will require you to implement your theoretical knowledge to tackle contemporary scenarios faced by global businesses. You will be able to critically examine a wide variety of areas and topics, such as strategic leadership, financial management, global operations, markets and resources, business research methods and data analysis. The later stages of this MBA will then focus on key themes in international business such as risk management and global supply chain management.

Not only that but our MBA is cleverly structured so that you can move beyond a domestic business mindset to consider issues and seek solutions in a truly global context.

The online study experience at UOH includes a virtual campus with digital course material, self-tests, live and recorded online tutorials, vodcasts, podcasts and much more.

*The online study model of the MBA is currently accredited under the program name „Master of Business Administration“.

Assessment method

This course is assessed through 100% coursework with a range of methods, such as essays, research reports, presentations, group work, and practical reports.

Pace of study

We recommend about 20 hours of study per week to complete one 20-credit module over a 10-week trimester. If you aim to study two modules in one trimester, we recommend 40 hours of study per week.

 

 

Entry requirements

You will need:

  • Honors degree (at least 2.2) or equivalent qualifications/experience in a computing discipline
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of broad computer experience
  • To provide a copy of your full CV with your online application.

Applicants with a lower degree classification in a Computing-related discipline may still be considered for entry to the program where they can demonstrate a minimum number of years of relevant work experience in a management or supervisory position, supported by employers' references.

English language qualifications

If English is not your first language you will need an English language qualification. For this course you will need at least one of the following:

  • IELTS 6.0
  • TOEFL 550 (paper-based) 213 (computer-based) or 80 (internet-based)
  • Pearson Test of Academic English: 51
  • Cambridge Advanced Certificate: Pass
  • London Tests of English: we accept level 5 for postgraduate courses
  • International GCE O Level English Language: Grade C
  • International GCSE English/English as a Second Language: Grade C

Documents to support your application

You'll need to provide:

  • Photo ID – this could be your passport or driving license
  • Current CV
  • Copies of certificates and transcripts or a letter of testimony for previous qualifications*

*Documents not in English or Welsh must be accompanied by a certified translation by a professional translator/translation company. Each translation must contain:

  • Confirmation from the translator that it is an accurate translation of the original document
  • The date of the translation
  • The full name and signature of the translator, or an authorized official of the company
  • The translator’s contact details

A list of approved translators can be found on the UK Government website.

About your fees

This figure would be the total cost of this course in the current academic year. However, please note that fees normally increase in line with inflation and the University's strategic approach to fees, which is reviewed on an annual basis. The total fee you pay may, therefore, increase if your course lasts longer than one year.

However, please also note that you can receive a 5% discount if you either:

  • Pay your full course fees upfront, or
  • When enrolling in September, pay for all of your modules to be studied in that academic year upfront.

  • Pay monthly and only for the modules you are studying

Consultancy is another remunerative career for international business professionals. An international business consultant is responsible for various aspects of business development and market information for international companies. Graduates of our MBA program can start as country managers representing a company in a foreign country.
